It is a bittersweet day here at Fun  Zone PhotoBooths. Nearly 5 years ago, the photo booth pictured to the left arrived on a truck, and Fun Zone Photo Booths was born. Well Fun Zone came later, at the time I was still DJing and the company was River City Music. That photo booth went through so many changes over the last 5 years. I quickly found out the original designer had left a lot to be desired. I tore that booth down to the ground and rebuilt it to improve it at least 3 times, along with it’s twin my second photo booth.

At Fun Zone Photo Booths I am always looking for ways to serve our clients better and offer exciting new ideas and experiences that our competitors can only duplicate us on! This original photo booth had served me well, along with it’s twin, having entertained thousands of people at hundreds of events over the last 5 years, but it could not offer our clients the same quality and fun that our new 2nd generation design photo booths can! Today I tore that original photo booth apart and sold off the metal frame for scrap.

It is a sad day but a good day. While this booth may be gone, we have a lot of exciting things planned for 2012 and beyond! The photo booth is only part of the experience when it comes to photo booth entertainment, but obviously it is an important part! Our booths are not tents, they are not pipe and drape, they are not open air, no one sits at a table with a laptop and printer… Our photo booths ARE like mall photo booths, but designed to meet the unique needs of wedding receptions, parties and corporate events!

WSBT Bridal Expo

Tomorrow is the WSBT Bridal Expo. From the looks of the vendor list there doesn’t appear to be any photo booth services taking part. So if you are interested in a photo booth and would like to try one out, give us a call! We have one of our traditional photo booths set up in our office for perspective brides and grooms to try out! New Years Photo Booth Mishawaka

Fun Zone Photo Booths again rang in the New Year with the party people at the FOP Mishawaka for their New Years Bash. It was a ton of fun! The photo booth didn’t stop rocking in the New Year!

We came up with a new custom design for the photo strip which I posted here a few days before. I’m really biased but I think this photo strip design rocked and is one of the best we have ever done.

Elkhart Photo Booth | Crystal Ballroom, The Lerner

For the second year in a row, Fun Zone Photo Booths provided the photo booth fun for the MSC Winterfest. This year they hosted the party at the Crystal Ballroom in the newly reopened Lerner Theater in Elkhart. All I can say is wow! What a beautiful facility and a great addition to Michiana’s selection of fantastic banquet halls.

This is one beautiful facility, with soaring ceilings and beautiful chandeliers and a great color pallet. One of the things we have discovered over the last 23 years of business in the event industry, is that while a lot of halls can look great, the food can suck. Well after Nicole and chef insisted we grab a plate of food, all I can say is YUM! My compliments to the chef .

The Crystal Ballroom, at the Lerner ranks up there with Windsor Park in Mishawaka, Knowllwood Country Club in Granger, The Gillespie at the Hilton Garden Inn in South Bend,  the Avalon and Raddison in Merrillville at the top of our favorite banquet facilities in Michiana!

The photo booth was packed all night  long for the MSC party. And so was the dance floor as one of our favorite bands form Michiana Blessed Engine rocked the dance floor!

Bridal Show

January 14th, 2012

The best bridal show in South Bend occurred on the first Saturday of the month, the Bridal Spectacular!  We had a lot of fun talking with all the brides and grooms who came through and having them get some free pics in the photo booth! It was a lot of fun and a fantastic bridal show.
